Who's your Heart Essex Hero?

We've teamed up with Heart Essex and Lloyd Green Solicitors in Chelmsford to celebrate all those people who make Essex such a great place to live!

The Heart Essex Heroes Awards is going to be a huge celebration of  local life and the achievement of those in our community who really deserve to be recognised for the great things they have done.

So who is your local hero? We need you the people of Essex to tell us about the people who really go that extra mile and deserve to win one of our Heart Essex Heroes Awards.

You can nominate now in one of our ten categories, simply click on the links below to find out what kind of thing we are looking for for each of the awards.

• Young Bravery Award

• Charity Award

• Achievement Award

• Fundraiser Award

• Community Award 

• Inspiration Award

• Big Heart Award 

Then simply complete the nomination form to each category telling us why the person(s) you are nominating deserve that particular award. Please note they must live in Essex or East Herts and be available to attend our awards evening on the 14th June. You can nominate in more than one category, just fill in a new form for each of your heroes but all nominations must be received by 27th May 2012.

Once we've received all your nominations, our judges will shortlist and invite the very best in each category to our prestigious award ceremony on Thursday 14th June 2012.

They will be joining the Heart team and special guests at the stunning Crowne Plaza, Colchester for a fantastic evening.

There'll be a  drinks reception, three course meal with an after show party and entertainment.

The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the winner of each of our Heart Essex Heroes Awards and finally the 'Big Heart Award' for one truly amazing local hero!

Who is a fundraising star in your community?

We're looking for that special person who has made a real difference to their local area, been a great neighbour perhaps or worked to improve the neighbourhood.
