ICAP Charity Day - Wednesday 9th December 2009
Following a truly memorable Charity fundraising day with ICAP plc in London last week, a staggering £11.5m was raised globally which will be split amongst different charities across the world. The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust was one of 18 very lucky charities chosen by the London office who will receive a donation, which will be contributing to the exciting relocation project. A host of celebrities took part across the world, and Essex Air Ambulance were kindly supported by Graham Cole from the Bill, Essex glamour model Jodie Marsh and International footballer Ray Parlour on the day.
The new Air Ambulance Centre will enable the Charity office and helicopter airbase to stand side by side incorporating a helicopter viewing gallery and interactive visitor’s area bringing the emergency helicopter closer to its supporters. Educational visits, tours and an exciting new shop will enable people to help support the charity in different ways enabling this life-saving service to continue. The centre is due to be launched Summer 2010.
ICAP UPDATE
On Thursday the 25th of Feb, the Essex Air Ambulance team returned to the city for the big hand over of the cheque from the ICAP Charity day.
We were joined by our Celebrity supporters Graham Cole, Jodie Marsh and Ray Parlour once again to receive the ICAP donation.
Ours weren’t the only celebrity guests on the night; others included Des Lynam, David Seaman, Kelly Brook and the Cheeky Girls.
